Thanks again for everyone who participated in this months Black Panther Party History Celebration. As well as 50 Year Celebration of the Founding of the Breakfast Program. Started for school Children by the Party in 1969. It was a memorable turnout as hundreds, if not thousands showed in attendance to celebrate , serve and learn about Party’s principles, history and contributions. Topped off several Speakers and a Special Q & A from Elder Black Panther Party Members. As well as the Annual BPP Participant Community Awards held later that evening. A special thanks goes to a number of Co-planners and others that contributed via-Exhibits and Events. As a remembrance and thanks, a Special 50th Anniversary Commemorative Issue Newspaper were printed and passed out to all Participants, as well members in the surrounding Community. It was certainly a good day as we continued the Legacy and moved forward. Which brings us to the recent Black Panther History Month Docu-Series held on Oct.21. And the Revolutionary Film Series Event held at Laney College on Oct. 24th. The Series Featured the Film ” The FBI’s War on Black America”, as well as a Special Guest appearance by former Black Panther Party Member Saturu Ned, who discussed Cointelpro 101 with the People. Also lastly we had the Informational Political Prisoner writing and study class. Held in San Francisco on the 27th.
