“Choosing a political party is alot like choosing which way one wishes to die”
Regardless to whom is President, whether Democrat or Republican. It must be understood that these elections holds no weight in determining the equality and justice we as a people deserve. And it is important that this point be reinterated within the community as we push forward. With the election being over, alot of people are under the impression that the fight is over and the work is done. They must be reminded that as a group we still have to deal with racism and oppression, and in order to solve those problems much more must be done.
As far as politics, it must be understood that Democrats and Republicans are two sides of the same coin. Meaning they both share the same goals, they just have different opinions on how to achieve them. While although politics and voting can be used in some instances, it is by no means the primary solution. This Country is far to corrupt and rooted in racism and oppression to change . It is up to us as a group to collectivise to combat the economic oppression and achieve the goals of the 10 -Point Platform. In other words, we must vote for ourselves. As a people we must live with the fact that not one politician or law is going to save us.
It must be reminded that our fight for freedom is not a seasonal, annual or once every few year situation. And we must remain focused on our true goals and not be mislead. APTTP!!
