The First thing to know about The Black Panther Party…

Perhaps the first thing to understand about the Black Panther Party for Self Defense, was that it wasn’t and is not a Racist Organization. While although the Party’s Purpose is to serve and Liberate African American Oppressed People. It was and is not in any sense the African American Equivalent to the Ku Klux Klan or the Nazi Skin Head Groups.

The Party grew out of the oppression, constant harassment and Police terror plaguing African American Communities throughout America. But during and since the Panther Party’s Founding, there has been negative propaganda promoting the Party as a gun-toting, “Govt” hating Racist Group.

But nothing can be further from the truth. The primary duties of the BPP was that of organizing dozens of Community Programs, Educational Training, Tutoring and Feeding the Youth and tending to the elderly. All other efforts went to running the Black Panther Party Newspaper.

So in conclusion, if you never knew, or happen to be a person of non-African American descent. Or even some African American themselves, who or what the Black Panther was and what they stood for. Here was one of the first things to know. And as you subscribe and continue further into our Blog, you will truly know what it is to be a Panther. All Power to the People!!

Same As It Ever Was…

The core objective as it is known, of the Black Panther Party is to achieve the goals of the Ten-Point Platform. By any means via survival programs, community outreach and economic collectivism, it is the duty of the vanguard elements to constantly remind and inform the people on the worsening nature of our condition and why it’s necessary to act now. With this is mind, being with so much to get done, individuals or groups sometimes tend get overwhelmed, stagnated or spreaded to thin when it comes to the constant task of organizing the people. But what must be kept in mind when evidence of “group fatigue ” sets in, is that the very basic primary duty that’s needs to be done is raising consciousness. Remember the function of the vanguard is inform the people enough to a point to where as the people will act for themselves in obtaining liberation. So it is important to never lose sight on this while attempting to organize the people. APTTP

Free Afrika Town

#1- We want freedom. We want the power to determine the destiny of our Black and oppressed communities.

It is of the utmost importance that in order to achieve true equality and liberation, we must eventually obtain control over the resources in our own communities. Afrika-Town accordance to Point Number 1 was established as a basis to aid in this point. Afrika-Town lies in a good geographic location and consists of a few key structures and monuments. It is an ideal area for us to create an economic community of housing, business etc. We have a obligation as a people and community to uplift, support and keep Afrika-Town alive in Oakland, CA.

KEEP in Mind. Historic AFRIKA TOWN is home to the PEOPLE OF WEST OAKLAND CA AND THE QUILOMBO IS ONE of THE HISTORIC BLACK REVOLUTIONARY SITES in North America. It includes the PAINTINGS of ASSATA SHAKUR AND OTHER BLACK REVOLUTIONARIES ON ITS WALLS.. Artifacts from the BLACK POWER MOVEMENT are on display in thIS COMMUNITY CENTER / Archaearium archaeology museum. Nearby, the AFRIKA TOWN Settlement is THE OAKLAND MUSEUM with recreations and images of the BLACK PANTHER PARTY on display. ― we want to reopen afrika town and the QUILOMBO as a community center / museum to serve the west Oakland community. Please sign the petition if you support THE RE OPENING OF AFRIKA TOWN AND THE QUILOMBO.

Understanding the Task

Being the fight towards ending injustice is an ongoing and constant process. Sometimes we have a tendency to lose sight of what part of the process we are currently in. In the early stages, the Party had recognized this along the way in a few instances and adjusted accordingly. This can take place in alot of ways, so the Party took great efforts to make sure members understood exactly what stage of the process they were in. This prevents doing or saying certain things that can be misunderstood and sends the wrong message or worse mistakenly or not took for provocateurism.

Understanding the process consists of knowing in detail the general methods of how we are being oppressed. On how the establishment reacts, entraps, frame and lie. We must understand what has been done to us and the hidden vices currently being used to oppress us now. Although that is just the beginning, the idea is to properly gauge at exactly what junction of resistance the people must be in at a given time. This is not only smart, but it also prevents people, groups etc from being put in a compromising position. So it is of utmost importance to conduct oneself in a certain way that doesn’t allow for confusion or misinterpretation to ones character. Apttp!

No Justice No Peace

“We want an immediate end to Police brutality and murder of Black People, other people of color and oppressed people in the United States”- Point Number 7

Every day it seems we are unfortunately shot down by Police in a disproportionate rate in this country while at the same time receiving no retribution. And in the most recent case, it appears no justice will be served again. It seems the Grand Jury has made a decision in the Reed case. Dreasjon Reed Was murdered on May 6th by Indianapolis Police in an alleged high-speed chase right on Facebook live. Officers claim Reed fired a weapon, but his family and legal team strongly denies this. And after months of investigating, the Grand Jury has made a decision. And on November 9th a decision of ” insufficient evidence ” was granted on whether Officer Dejoure Mercer violated the law when he shot and killed Reed. The decision was read by investigator Rosemary Khoury, who claimed this to be a very extremely difficult task and very heartfelt.

RIP Dreasjon Reed

This is another example of why something must be done against the blatant murder of our people. We must organize as a community to defend ourselves when there is obviously a war being waged against us. Contact us if you have any questions on how you can help end Police brutality. APTTP!!

Vote For Yourself

“Choosing a political party is alot like choosing which way one wishes to die”

Regardless to whom is President, whether Democrat or Republican. It must be understood that these elections holds no weight in determining the equality and justice we as a people deserve. And it is important that this point be reinterated within the community as we push forward. With the election being over, alot of people are under the impression that the fight is over and the work is done. They must be reminded that as a group we still have to deal with racism and oppression, and in order to solve those problems much more must be done.

As far as politics, it must be understood that Democrats and Republicans are two sides of the same coin. Meaning they both share the same goals, they just have different opinions on how to achieve them. While although politics and voting can be used in some instances, it is by no means the primary solution. This Country is far to corrupt and rooted in racism and oppression to change . It is up to us as a group to collectivise to combat the economic oppression and achieve the goals of the 10 -Point Platform. In other words, we must vote for ourselves. As a people we must live with the fact that not one politician or law is going to save us.

It must be reminded that our fight for freedom is not a seasonal, annual or once every few year situation. And we must remain focused on our true goals and not be mislead. APTTP!!

Rap Panthers…

In today’s information age, It is important for us to communicate with the people thru any means necessary. This means we will not only utilize every media outlet available. But we will also be using various communication mediums. The Rap Panther Party was created to reach the people using sounds such as Hip-Hop, Reggae, R&B and other musical genres. In this era of misinformation, propaganda and fake news, it is vital that we counter with our own platforms which provides true and accurate and unbiased facts. The Rap Panther Party’s goal is to counter and overcome all of the negative and self hateful Rap music and replace it with positive, encouraging, dope quality Rap that truly reflects the culture.

Please support the Rap Panther Party music anyway you can. We also are open to working with other Artists as well as producers so don’t hesitate to contact us.

Black Panther History Month

As you may know, October is The Black Panther Parties History Month. Were we celebrate and commemorate the sacrifices made by those who stood up against oppression and fought for equality. It is important to never forget the people who lost their lives and/or their freedom in the pursuit of justice for Black and oppressed people. So during the month we may hold several events or gatherings to celebrate, uphold and continue in the spirit of Panthers then and now. Below are a few things that will be happening for the rest of the month as we continue to honor the legacy.

  • CELEBRATING & HONORING MELVIN DICKSON CCBPP FOUNDER. November 15th, 2020

Reinvent the wheel?

Over time, there has been many questions about where and how the people should continue the Black Panthers fight for Freedom and equality. First, it should be understood that the best kept secret is in fact the Panthers analysis of the nature of our condition. As a result the10 Point Platform was created. The 10 Point Platform for the most part underscores all the issues we face as being continually oppressed in the U.S. . And the Black Panthers addressed these issues via- the Platform accordingly.

Moving forward, it must be understood that as it stands, there is no need to ” reinvent the wheel ” needless to say. It must be known that while continuing the race, we must pick up to where our “forefathers” left off and not go all the way back to the starting line. We have the luxury of benefiting on all the good ideas of the Party, while discarding the bad ones. Up to a point, the Black Panther Party taught us the proper way to lay the opening stages of defending ourselves from racism and oppression. So in continuing the legacy the roadmap should be followed in the same manner minus the mistakes.

Keeping Momentum

Regardless of what is happening in the news as far as current and local events. It is important that as a people, group etc. We must remain steadfast and on code. Meaning those of us that have a sense of knowledge of self must continue to achieve the goals of the Black Panther Parties 10 Point Platform. This means that the people must not be confused and lured away by the constant bombardment of propaganda and fake news that attacks us everyday.

We must not be distracted and continue to build on and around the survival programs. It must be remembered and reminded that the 10 Point Platform addresses all the needs of us as a People. From the police brutality we face everyday, to the racism and economic disparities we endure. The Platform has sort of blueprint that we can build on to address the issue. It is also important for the people to know the value of group economics. That togetherness and collectivism will enable us to eventually build the institutions we need to support ourselves and separate from the institutions and groups that oppress us.

The CCBPP has been working daily to reinterate these principles and to get more people involved.

Below is a recent list of events that the CCBPP has been involved in.
