ON MAY 31ST 2020 THE NEW COMMEMORATION COMMITTEE FOR THE BLACK PANTHER PARTY SERVED 100 HOMELESS PEOPLE IN WEST OAKLAND CA IN ORDER TO ADDRESS THE ISSUE OF CAPITALISM IN THE POOR COMMUNITY.

THE PEOPLE OF WEST OAKLAND EMBRACED US WITH OPEN ARMS WITH CHANTS OF SOCIAL CHANGE, BLACK POWER BLACK PEOPLE, WHITE POWER WHITE PEOPLE, YELLOW POWER YELLOW PEOPLE, ALL POWER ALL PEOPLE!!

VOLUNTEERS CAME TOGETHER AND ORGANIZED 50 PLATES 50 FACE MASK AND 20 SURVIVAL BAGS.

AFTER SERVING THE PEOPLE NCCBPP VOLUNTEERS CAME TOGETHER FOR A HEALING DRUM CIRCLE.

IT WAS A BEAUTIFUL DAY FOR UNITY IN THE BLACK COMMUNITY.

The Importance of Political Education

Bluntly put, you must know what we are fighting for. But also you must know what we are fighting against. And that is just the beginning, which is why it cannot be overstated that people who are dedicated and committed to making a difference must understand the political ideas of the Black Panther Party.

This will allow you to understand the nature of your condition as a people. Political Education teaches you the WHO, WHAT, WHERE, WHEN, and WHY concerning our enslavement and oppression. It also teaches the economic and political tricks being used by various politicians, lawmakers, and other racist people in society. It is a must that all Blacks in America obtain a knowledge of self. Before we can move forward, you must know what has happened in order to truly understand what is happening now. The CCBPP has several things in development to help reiterate and support this fact.

Stay Ready

In light of the current situation, it is important that we remain steadfast as a people and community and stay prepared for only God knows what’s to come. It is no secret we currently are and have been attacked from all directions, so naturally we must defend on all fronts. The Politicians of our Country have proven time and again that they haven’t our best interest.

So it is important we do for self. Instead of allowing ourselves to sink with the Titanic we must work towards building and defending our own ship. During this so-called current Corona/ Covid 19 crisis, the Government has been grossly inefficient on stopping this Virus. People don’t know what to think. The Media has lied, manipulated and fabricated the amount of actual damage this Virus is causing. Condolences goes out to all who have lost someone during this Epidemic, it is important to note the amount of corruption and lies that we have been fed.

Medical facilities across America are not only under supplied, but have been caught misdiagnosing cause of deaths and even injecting people with faulty corona virus vaccines. In other words, it may not even be safe to visit your local hospital! In situations like this we must start to build and develop our own to address our medical needs. Opportunity in Crisis

In accordance with Point Number 1 and Point Number 10. (We want the Power to determine the Destiny of our communities as well as land bread, housing etc.) It is important that we as a people during this crisis be prepared for whatever it is to come. Whether this Corona Virus plague is some sort of Government politically orchestrated plan or a true Global medical epidemic. We must be ready for the residual outcome due to the mass panic that’s sure to come.

This panic may result in many forms, from shortages on food and supplies as well mass inflation of prices due to low supply and high demand. This can also cause crime and truth be told, can quickly turn to Anarchy and Martial Law. One come only speculate how far this can go. However you must keep in mind that we SHALL NOT PANIC BUT RESPOND, WE SHALL ACT BUT NOT REACT.

As a result it is important that we as a people look out for our families and each other. Although we should be practicing these things already, right now is a good opportunity to come together and establish survival procedures for emergencies and an overall network in place for all the challenges that may arise.

There is a saying ” Free Your Mind, and the rest will follow. And in order to reiterate this fact The Party established Point Number 5 which declares, ” We want Decent Education for our People that Exposes the True Nature of this Decadent American Society”. It is vital that you understand the past in order to create the future.

In other words, we must know where we been to know where we are going. And more importantly in order to effectively counter and defend, as a people we must learn and understand the various levels of oppression that we experience directly and indirectly.

” The Struggle to free Black Political Prisoners is an integral part of the Black Struggle. Victory for our people and our struggle will not be complete unless they are set free.”

It is important to never forget those that sacrificed, and been unfairly illegally held in U.S. Prisons and ” Concentration Camps”.

One of the current misconceptions is that there are no current political prisoners being held in the U.S. , this cannot be further from the truth. For decades there have been a number of Blacks violated, framed and imprisoned unfortunately falsely for years. It is only right that we never forget, and continue to support and rally to free these people. Below is information on how you can get involved. Whether letter writing or signing Petitions all participation is needed. Keep it mind due to unjust laws and unfair Jury Trials, essentially all African Americans currently locked up are ” Politically Imprisoned”. So it is very very important we the “People” rally to permanently change this corrupt legal system!

Out Reach/ Canvas Table ( Appear in various parts in the City to set up and engage with the Community. )
George Jackson Politcal Prisoner Video Series ( Learning about current Political Prisoners illegally held in U.S. Institutions )
Bobby Hutton Literacy Program (Teaching Adults and Students Reading Comprehension and Writing Skills )
No Child Left Behind Community Food-Give ( Providing Meals hot/cold to needy Children within various communities)
Melvin Dickson Community Bar-B-Q ( each on the last Saturday we will have a Barbecue at Bobby Hutton {Defermery} Park to celebrate and engage with the Community )
Big Man Elbert Howard Intercommunial Newspaper ( each month we will be producing a newspaper showing the work done in the community with different articles wrote by Members of the community. )

Thanks again for everyone who participated in this months Black Panther Party History Celebration. As well as 50 Year Celebration of the Founding of the Breakfast Program. Started for school Children by the Party in 1969. It was a memorable turnout as hundreds, if not thousands showed in attendance to celebrate , serve and learn about Party’s principles, history and contributions. Topped off several Speakers and a Special Q & A from Elder Black Panther Party Members. As well as the Annual BPP Participant Community Awards held later that evening. A special thanks goes to a number of Co-planners and others that contributed via-Exhibits and Events. As a remembrance and thanks, a Special 50th Anniversary Commemorative Issue Newspaper were printed and passed out to all Participants, as well members in the surrounding Community. It was certainly a good day as we continued the Legacy and moved forward. Which brings us to the recent Black Panther History Month Docu-Series held on Oct.21. And the Revolutionary Film Series Event held at Laney College on Oct. 24th. The Series Featured the Film ” The FBI’s War on Black America”, as well as a Special Guest appearance by former Black Panther Party Member Saturu Ned, who discussed Cointelpro 101 with the People. Also lastly we had the Informational Political Prisoner writing and study class. Held in San Francisco on the 27th.

A Special thanks again to all who showed up and participated this Month in keeping the Legacy strong as we Soldier on!
